About Me

Lori Ann is a Professionally Trained Face and Body Painting Artist.  She is an Edmonton artist who was introduced to body painting at the Fringe Festival in Calgary. She was immediately hooked! Lori Ann really enjoys the challenge & creativity Body Painting brings; the amount of designs and color combinations are seemingly endless!  She has a lot of fun painting!

Solo Body Art uses only the best and safest products available for Professional Body Painters. They include Wolfe, Diamond FX, Kryolan, Aquacolor, Mehron/Paradise FAB and mica powders. Lori Ann is an active member of CAFABA: the Canadian Association of Face and Body Artists and is Insured.  She is also an active member on a variety of Face and Body Painting Forums. Lori Ann was trained to offer Pre-natal Bellypainting for expectant mothers who wish to have a handpainted and personal memory of this special time in their life. 

Personal Body Painting Instructors include: World Champion Lucie Brouillard, Master Instructor Mark Reid, Master Instructors Nick & Brian Wolfe, Master Instructor Vargas, Master Instructors Nick Herrera, Master Instructor Rebecca Tonkovich, Master Instructor Jinny, Master Instructor Mark Greenawalt, Instructors Wiser, Cathy Corbett, Jodi Carr, and Erika Harrison. She has met amazing artists including Master Instructor and NABPC Champion Alex Hanson, World Champions Julian & Yolanda Bartram,  Sean Avram and Natasha Kudashynka. Lori Ann has taken workshops and classes at Bodyssey 2009 in Toronto, and also competed in competition.  She also attended the first North American Body Painting Competition in Las Vegas, NV, in Feb. 2009, assisting the organizing team with a variety of duties.  Most recently, Lori Ann attended Bodyssey 2010 in Calgary, Alberta. Bodyssey is Canada's Only Face & Body Painting Convention!  She was invited to Body Paint a model from Holland for the Grand Finale Banquet, along with other Instructors.  The theme was Fashion!  Lori has most recently taken a Professional Workshop from Wiser on Graffitti Art!

Lori Ann continues to learn and upgrade her skills in order to be the best artist she can be. Photos of two of her Body Paintings have been published in Illusion Magazine, the premier body painting magazine in the world. She has also had a photo of her Body Painting appear in the 24th and 25th issues of Brush Strokes Magazine, an online world publication.
